If you purchased a SmartLink Bundle (a controller, aircard, weather station, and service plan) through a distributor, it's likely the bundle came with a SmartLink Service Plan Card.
Located on the backside of the SmartLink Service Plan Card is a 9-digit redemption code. This can be used to redeem your SmartLink Service Plan with a preset service period.
If your controller did not come with a plan card, use the credit card or bank draft plan option instead to activate the SmartLink Service Plan.
How it Works
Before you can launch a SmartLink Service Plan, your controller must be activated through the Controller Activation process (details here). Once the controller and aircard activation is complete, you’ll be redirected to the Subscriptions page.
From the Subscriptions page, you'll find three SmartLink Service Plan payment options. Proceed with Option 2.
- Option 1 - Temporary Plan Activation (30 days)
- Option 2 - Pre-Purchased Plan with a Plan Card
- Option 3 - Plan Purchase with a Credit Card or Bank Draft
Redeem your pre-purchased SmartLink Service Plan by proceeding with the “Plan Card Activation” option. This may be listed as Option 1 or Option 2, depending on whether or not a temporary plan was used.
Type the 9-digit redemption code (located on the backside of the plan card) into the blank Plan Card Activation field.
When you're finished typing, you'll see either a green checkmark (indicating the plan card redemption code is valid) or you'll see red “x” (indicating the redemption code will not work). If your redemption code doesn't work, contact our Support Team for help.
Once activated, you’ll be redirected to the Controller page.
You can review the details of your controller’s SmartLink Service Plan from the “Manage Subscription” page located in the dropdown menu under the Admin tab. There, you'll find the controller's service plan activation history. You'll also find the controller's service plan details such as its expiration date.
